Privacy policy
This page explains, in plain language, what Adspendo does and does not do with your data. There are two different products on this site with two different answers, so read the one that applies to you.
1. The free tool on the homepage
When you upload a report on the homepage without creating an account, your file is read entirely inside your own browser. It is never uploaded, sent to a server, or seen by us in any form. Close the tab and every trace of it is gone. The only thing stored on your device is one small preference (whether you've toggled the free/Pro preview) in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device either.
2. A registered account (login required)
If you create an account to save reports and track history over time, the picture changes, and we want to be exact about it rather than vague:
- We never receive your uploaded file. The report itself — the CSV or Excel file from Amazon — is still read only in your browser and is never transmitted anywhere.
- We do store the results. Once you choose to save a report, the calculated numbers — totals, and each search term's spend, sales, and recommendation — are sent to our server and stored in our database, tied to your account.
- We store your account details. Your email address, name (if given), and password (as a one-way hash — we cannot see or recover your actual password, ever) are stored to let you log in.
- We store the seller/client names and margins you enter. These are business inputs (like "Glow Naturals, 30% margin"), not personal data about anyone else.
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with any third party for marketing purposes. We do not currently run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
3. Cookies and sessions
A registered account uses one essential cookie to keep you logged in between pages. It is required for the login system to work and is not used for tracking or advertising. No other cookies are set.
4. How your data is protected
- Passwords are never stored in readable form — only a one-way cryptographic hash.
- The site should always be accessed over HTTPS (look for the padlock in your browser).
- Every page that shows your data checks that you are logged in as the account that owns it — another user cannot see your reports.
5. How long we keep it, and how to delete it
We keep your account and saved reports for as long as your account is active, since the whole point of an account is comparing one month against the next. If you want your account and everything in it permanently deleted, email contact@adspendo.com from the address on the account and we will remove it. This is currently a manual process on our side — we don't yet have a self-serve "delete my account" button, and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.
6. Children
Adspendo is a business tool for Amazon sellers and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted here plainly, not buried.
